Events for Bringing the Community Together

The mission of the Millbrae Education Foundation (MEF) is to raise funding to maximize educational opportunities for ALL Millbrae students. But it doesn't mean we can't inject a little bit of fun while supporting our main cause. We have events to bring our students, parents, community, and businesses together to build relationships and have some fun while raising much-needed funding for Millbrae Schools.

The Millbrae Education Foundation is hosting our Fund the Future Fundraiser on February 27! Mark your calendars, get out that blue monochrome outfit OR your favorite blue PJs and join us for an evening of libations, laughs, and FUNDRAISING- all for the BEST cause: Millbrae students!! Stay tuned for details!

Friends of Millbrae Rotary,

Members of the Rotary Club of Millbrae would be honored for you to join our 14th Annual Millbrae Community Lunar New Year Virtual Banquet. Normally, we would be looking forward to seeing over 300 of you during our festive ten course Chinese banquet. This year, due to the pandemic, we have partnered with Tai Wu Restaurant in Millbrae to prepare an outstanding take-out meal of Chinese cuisine for you to enjoy while attending our virtual New Year event.

Please join with us to celebrate the Chinese Year 4719, the Year of the Ox.

Take-out meals will be ordered through our Event Registration Website and picked up the night of the event. As you eat your meal at home, we invite you to join us online via Zoom for our virtual New Year event, featuring Chinese Lion dancers, an interview with the chef, and a ceremonial toast from our Imperial Court. We will also be hosting an online silent auction during the two weeks prior to the event.

Tickets will be available @ $50 each. We understand that many of our guests travel for this event and that it may be infeasible to do so for this year's take-out-style banquet. If you still wish to participate from afar, there will be an option on our registration page for you to sign up for the Zoom session without a meal for $20 per person or to make a voluntary donation supporting the Rotary Club of Millbrae. All proceeds will go towards our Club's programs benefiting Millbrae's public schools and youth programs.

We will follow up with more specific details when our registration page goes live. For further information, please e-mail Philip Petro at: philip.petro33@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support! Please mark Friday, February 26 on your calendar now. We look forward to seeing you online!

Sincerely,

Joe Teresi
