Millbrae, One Community
The Millbrae Education Foundation (MEF) recently created the Millbrae, One Community COVID-19 Relief Effort to help the most vulnerable members of our community during a very trying time in all our lives. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, members of our school communities and more largely, within our larger Millbrae Community, are facing hardships due to illness, job loss, and/or financial hardships.
In collaboration with the Millbrae School District, our MSD school PTA/PTO organizations, and many local organizations, we hope to provide support and resources to members of our school community who need assistance. A few ways we are hoping to support our community:
Immediate financial support (in the form of gift cards to local grocery stores and pharmacies) for valid members of our school communities.
Resources to food banks, county aid, mental health assistance, etc.
Local business “give back”: Are there services or goods struggling businesses can package or offer at a discount that can be purchased for Relief Effort applicants?

The MEF will serve as the fundraising and collection agency for this special relief effort. Current and expected funds donated to the MEF outside of this special relief effort will NOT be used. Special relief effort funds will remain separate from the MEF general funds. The MEF is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization - donations may be tax deductible and eligible for a corporate match.
