We Believe in Millbrae Kids!
The Annual MEF Gala and Auction celebrates our children and our schools and is our biggest fundraising event of the year. This celebration brings parents, teachers, school administrators and city leaders from all over Millbrae together to show their generosity, kindness and amazing sense of community. Last year, our gala & auction raised $154,000.
At the event, we will be hosting a live auction (items announced once finalized) along with our Fund the Future program. We hope that all attendees consider some level of participation to help MEF continue to fund the teachers and staff we need for essential programs such as music, PE and academic support.
TICKET PRICE: $225 per person
TABLE OF 10: $2250 per table of 10
Ticket includes: welcome reception, 3-course dinner with wine service, live auction, music and dancing. A portion of every ticket will be donated back to Millbrae Education Foundation and counted toward our $650,000 goal for this school year.
The Night's Agenda:
5:00 pm: Welcome Reception and Check-in
6:30-8:00 pm: Sit down dinner, exciting live auction, featuring exclusive packages only available to Gala attendees
8:00-11:00 pm: Dessert, coffee, photo booth, live music from band Top Secret, and dancing
Attire:
Your finest upscale 80s cocktail attire is encouraged for our night of believin’! Recognition during the evening for Best 80’s Outfit!
Event Details
Ticket confirmation: After successfully registering, you will receive an email confirmation. Printed tickets will not be issued. Attendees must check in upon arrival for admittance. Please review your order carefully. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Tickets are sold while they last. If you are sick, or have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, we kindly ask that you do not attend.
Table Seating: Dinner will be assigned seating with 10 guests per table. To assist us in grouping tables, please indicate your school(s) and other seat grouping preferences. If you wish to be assigned to a table with specific guests, enter their first and last names in the indicated field during registration (e.g. Meadows/MGSA Softball) Spring Valley/Jane Doe, 2nd Grade Parents). If you have no table preference, please include your school followed by "none" (e.g. Lomita/none). Please note that seating requests must be mention in order for them to be honored.
Menu: 3-course meal includes salad, entree and dessert. Entrée choices:
Beef - NY steak with chimichurri sauce
Fish - Pan-roasted salmon with lemon caper sauce
Vegetarian - Curry roasted cauliflower steak with red pepper hummus coulis, quinoa, and grilled asparagus
Beverages: Wine will be included with your ticket during dinner + dessert service. Cocktails will be available for purchase through the hotel cash bar.
Parking: Parking will be complimentary at the Hilton during the Gala.
Our biggest fundraising event of the year: Through the generosity and kindness of our amazing community, this gala not only celebrates our schools and our children but it is the biggest fundraising event of the year bringing parents, teachers, school administrators and city leaders from all over Millbrae. Photo Release: By participating in the MEF Fundraising Gala on February 25, 2023 and purchasing a ticket for the same event, you voluntarily give permission to Millbrae Education Foundation ("MEF") to publish images and videos taken at the event on www.millbraekids.org and all of MEF social media platforms. You understand that you have the option of refusing to allow images of you to be used by MEF. In order to exercise this right, you understand that you need to inform MEF of your request by sending an email to volunteers@millbraekids.org at least 24 hours prior to the event.
Volunteer at the Gala
